General Oil Company is a privately held
Michigan corporation, formed in 1962. We have three Michigan locations:
All facilities can be reached at the address and phone
number above.
Turning Waste into a
Resource
General Oil Company's primary business is making high quality products from reclaimed used
industrial oil, and properly managing the residuals generated by the recycling process.
These products meet the same specifications and performance standards as those made from
virgin oil and are used in a wide variety of applications, at significant cost savings to
our customers. General Oil also makes products based solely on virgin oil, including our
patented Diamond series.
Serving Industry
At our Redford facility we receive used industrial oil, wastewater, and other
non-hazardous liquid industrial wastes. To meet industry's around-the-clock needs, the
facility is open twenty-four hours, seven days a week. In addition, we manage and
transport a variety of other wastes for our customers, working with them to determine the
optimum, qualified receiving facilities.
And the Environment
All of our products and services are provided while meeting high environmental standards
and managing the residuals from the recycling process responsibly. General Oil Company
became the first oil recycling and centralized waste treatment facility in Michigan to
earn the internationally recognized ISO 14001 certification in
October, 2000 (see article under "The Pipeline").
We take our environmental responsibilities seriously, - - and will continue to do so.
